Angel Island 2018—A True Adventure!

On the weekend of December 8th, Troop 59 went to Angel Island. Jack Williams was the SPL, and Chris Pontious was the ASPL We met in Tiburon early in the morning, then took the Angel Island Ferry to Angel Island. Once there, we hiked around the island to our campsite, then we set up camp and explored the old Angel Island Immigration Center, dubbed the Ellis Island of the West. We played capture the flag in the abandoned Military hospital and looked at other parts of the old base. After exploring this, we hiked around the island some more and explored some old artillery battery ruins. We then had dinner before hiking up to the top of the island to see the lights of San Francisco on an amazingly clear night. The next morning we packed up and took the ferry back to Tiburon.
