Today’s shooting sports outing was a total success. Although the temperature was quite bitter at the start, everyone really seemed to enjoy the event. First, we started with an hour-long service project moving brush down by the waterfront and then up at the Twins Cities campsite. Then we shot archery and 22’s at a variety of different targets such as paper targets, water bottles, cans, and fruit. We were able to work on alternate shooting positions and marksmanship through the day. We ended the day with cleaning all the rifles (21 of them!) and breaking down the range. A Scoutmaster talk at the flags was a great end to the day.
Everyone loved the activities and we should continue this outing each year.
